We’ve detailed all the steps below, to help you setup your iZone smart home devices so you can start selling smarter homes, the super easy way.

Lets get started!

Step 1

Remove the 3 devices (i.e. Smart Downlight, Smart Plug and Smart Hub) from the packaging. These devices have already been paired by the iZone team for your convenience.

Step 2

Install the Smart Hub by connecting the RJ45 blue cable from the Smart Hub’s Ethernet port to one of your LAN ports on your home modem device.

Step 3

Power up by the Smart Hub by connecting the power supply socket to the Smart Hub Power socket. After a few seconds, the World Wide LED will eliminate indicating that the Smart Hub has established communication with the iZone server. If the World Wide LED does not go on, check your connections or modem’s firewall settings.

Step 4

Power up the Smart Downlight and the Smart Plug by plugging them into a standard electrical power socket.

Step 5

The Smart Downlight will turn on to a bright white colour and the power indicator on the Smart Plug will be blue.

Step 1

It is important that your mobile device can communicate with the Smart Hub by ensuring they are connected within the same local area subnetwork. This means that the wifi on your mobile device must be enabled and connected to the same modem where the Smart Hub is connected.

Step 2

Download the iZone Home mobile application from Google Play Store (Android) or App Store (iPhone).

Step 3

Once downloaded, the operating system will ask you to allow the iZone Home application to find devices on your local network and also enable notifications. Enable both of these options to ensure the iZone Home application can discover the Smart Hub on the network and accept notifications.

Step 4

Register for a Worldwide account and link this account to your Smart Hub.  Tap on Register Now, enter your details and click Continue.  Select Yes, I’m a Home User.

Step 5

Enter your address details if you want to receive weather updates and tap on Next. Read the terms and tap Accept.

Step 6

Now verify your email address by clicking on the Verify email link received from the iZone World Wide Service.

Step 7

Link the Smart Hub with your account by following the online prompts.  Once linked, tap on Start Using App.

Once done, you will see the following page.

Step 1

You are now able to control your smart devices using your mobile device.  Tap on CATEGORY from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.  You will see a list of devices connected to your Smart Hub.

Step 2

Tap on Smart Power and select Plug from the list of devices.  Tap on the Off button to switch on the Smart Plug.

Step 3

To control the Smart Downlight, select CATEGORY from the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.  Tap on Lights and then Downlight.  Select the Off button to turn on the Smart Downlight.  Tap on the Colour tab and change colours.

Step 4

You can pin devices to your home screen or group them by rooms.  To do this, you need to create a location.  Tap on MENU from the toolbar and select Location from the list.  Tap on the Create Location button and enter a location name e.g. Jones Home.  Tap on Save Location.

Step 5

From the HOME screen, tap on the ‘+‘ button under Pinned Devices.  Select Lights and then Downlight.  Check the Pin selection on the top right of your screen.  Go back to the HOME screen to see your pinned device.  Do the same for the Smart Plug by tapping on the pin icon.

Step 6

From the HOME screen, you can tap on the Downlight button to switch the Smart Downlight on/off.  Press and hold the Downlight button to change the Smart Downlight’s settings.

Step 7

You can explore changing the home screen banner image by selecting MENU->Location->Location name->Assign image.  Go to ROOM from the toolbar menu, create rooms and pin devices to rooms as you see fit.
