Installing smart lights in your home can contribute to your emotional well-being.

The diverse colours of smart lights could be beneficial to your emotional well-being.

The colours in your home can significantly influence your mood and mental health. Different colours and their frequencies can have both physiological and psychological effects on your emotions and behaviour, according to various research studies. For example, someone feeling stressed or angry might find comfort in the calming effects of the colour blue, while green can uplift the mood of someone feeling sad.

Smart lights go beyond mere illumination and can profoundly impact your daily life by enhancing mood, regulating energy levels, and supporting overall well-being. By adjusting the colour and brightness of your smart lights at home, they may contribute to better sleep and create a sense of calm and comfort. Additionally, smart lights offer convenience through automation and remote control, optimising energy usage and enhancing comfort in any environment. iZone’s smart lights provide a seamless extension to your existing iZone system, enabling control beyond air conditioning alone. They can also operate independently, offering versatile functionality to enhance any space.

Getting started with iZone Smart Lights

You will need an iZone Smart Hub (DIY installation) to control your Smart Lights from anywhere in the world.  If you already have a smart hub installed, you won’t need another one.

If you have the iZone Bridge installed at your home, which is still compatible with our smart lights, we recommend upgrading to our newest software, the Smart Hub, which replaces the bridge.  And if you do not have a smart hub, remember to add one to your shopping cart.

Ways to add Smart Lighting to your home.

OPTION 1:  iZONE’S SMART GLOBES

Smart globes are ideal for those who want to upgrade existing lighting or add new lighting to their homes.  Smart Globes can be controlled from your phone/device. If you wish to control these globes from both your phone and a wall light switch, you will require an iZone Smart Wireless Light Switch. The light switches contain a motion sensor and AC thermostat.

Smart Downlights
Why choose Smart Downlights?
Downlights are among the most widely used lights globally. They are standard in new builds and renovated homes, and many people are upgrading older ceiling lights to downlights.
Smart Globes
Why choose Smart Bayonet or Screw-in Globes?

Some ceiling lights, wall lights, or lampstands require these ‘click-in’ globes (as they are commonly referred to) or the screw-in globe, depending on the type of connection you have. If you still have those old globes that drive up your electricity bills, consider not just upgrading to an energy-saving globe, but adding the iZone smart function to experience the benefits that smart lighting can offer.

DIY: Replacing globes can be done yourself, but note that downlights require a 2-pin Australian GPO plug. If your current connection doesn’t meet these requirements, you may need a certified electrician to help you.

Suitable for indoor use and covered alfresco areas and porches. Not ideal for outdoor use.

OPTION 2: iZONE’S SMART LIGHT MODULES

iZone’s Smart Light modules offers two Smart Light module options that allow you to control your existing lights from a wall light switch and your phone/wall controller.

Smart Dimmer Switch
Why choose a Smart Dimmer Switch?

The smart dimmer switch operates with your current lights and wall switch.  It allows you to control your lighting manually at your current wall switch and through the iZone App.

Installation must be carried out by a certified electrician. A dimmer switch can control a single light or a set of lights.  The Dimmer switch allows lights to be dimmed.

Smart Switch
Why choose a Smart Switch?

The smart switch functions similarly to a dimmer switch, but it does not support the dimming of lights. It operates with your existing lights and wall switch, enabling you to control non-smart lights from the wall switch and the iZone App on your phone or wall controller. Installation of the smart switch requires an electrician. Please note, that the smart switch only allows lights to be turned on/off and does not include dimming functionality.
